🌱 THE SWEET DELILAH SWIM CLUB + Metro Crime Initiative Round 2

Hi all. I’m back in your inbox this morning with your new edition of the Albuquerque Daily. Keep reading to find out the most important things happening in town these days.

First, today’s weather:

Breezy in the afternoon. High: 86 Low: 66.

πŸ“’ I’m looking for business owners and marketers in Albuquerque who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.

I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Albuquerque Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that’s you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.

Here are the top three stories today in Albuquerque:

  1. The Adobe Theater will be performing Jones Hope Wooten’s THE SWEET DELILAH SWIM CLUB. The performance follows five southern women who became friends through their college’s swim team. This hilarious show will pull at your heartstrings. Performances will be from July 22 through Aug. 14, 2022. (Broadway World)
  2. A meeting about sanctioned homeless camps got a little heated on Thursday night. Albuquerque City Councilor Brooke Bassan met with the community to focus on theft and crime near the Whole Foods on Wyoming but the meeting quickly turned to talk about homeless camps. The city has not proposed specific locations for the camps, yet. (KRQE News 13)
  3. Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller and city officials launched the second round of the Metro Crime Initiative on Wednesday. The initiative will focus on addressing the fentanyl crisis, domestic violence, and gun violence in its second phase. The initiative will hold three meetings to focus on each aspect. The first meeting will be on July 16 at 10:00 am about gun violence. (KSFR)
