Albuquerque man wanted in fatal shooting of service dog owner | Ap

ALBUQUERQUE – An arrest warrant has been issued against a man accused of fatally shooting another man after the victim’s service dog was shot and wounded for barking at the shooter, Albuquerque police said.

The arrest warrant issued on Tuesday is looking for a sleeping woman for Xavier Marquez, 22, for the murder and other crimes in the murder of Shawn Lynch on the 22nd, police said.

According to the criminal complaint, witnesses told investigators that Lynch was walking his dog on a street and going to a friend’s house where they met Marquez sitting in a truck.

The complaint said Marquez got out of the truck and yelled at the dog before shooting and wounding the animal.

When Lynch appealed, he was shot in the head and left on the street, the ad said.

Lynch was pronounced dead in a hospital on Monday.
