NMiF presents the Albuquerque Mayoral Forum: UNM Newsroom

This week, with New Mexico in focus as local elections begin across the state, the NMiF and the New Mexico Black Voters Collaborative are organizing a mayors’ forum in the state’s largest city.

Acting Mayor Tim Keller has three challengers, including one enrollment candidate. The other two challengers – Eddy Aragon and Manny Gonzales – came on stage at Highland High School along with Keller to discuss key issues and styles of government. The event was hosted by Cathryn McGill, a regular panelist at The Line and founder of the New Mexico Black Leadership Council.

Election day for local elections (including Albuquerque) is November 2nd. Early voting is already underway in district officials’ offices across the state.

New Mexico in Focus will air on Friday, October 8th at 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday, October 10th at 7:00 a.m. on NMPBS 5.1 (KNME HD) and streamed on the PBS video app.
