The Las Cruces Renn Faire celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2021.
The 2020 event was canceled due to COVID. This year seemed a bit taken back from previous events, but it was still a great way to spend an afternoon. Lots of great artisans and great shows.
So much cool stuff to enjoy … including the food! It is a tradition to get a turkey leg and a “rat on a stick”.
The costumes / outfits are always eye-catching, especially the armor. I have to imagine that it feels like a sauna in this metal armor that doesn’t breathe well. My only real disappointment was that Magellan the Dragon didn’t grace the pond. For me that is always the highlight of the fair.
Once again the Dona Ana Arts Council did a great job organizing a fun event, Huzzah!
