November 19, 2021 – January 1, 2022
Lights of Enchantment is a community-first program that is guaranteed to be a visual extravaganza with more than 350 displays and over a million points of light. It will be a fun time for the whole family. Don’t miss the lights on our 60 foot high Christmas tree with a 10 foot star on November 26th.
November 24, 2021 – January 2, 2022
Expo New Mexico is your new home. Winter Wonderland is a drive-through vacation experience that combines the vacation spirit and culture of New Mexico into a safe, family-friendly winter attraction. The 2021 show offers a special hiking area in which guests can enjoy the winter wonderland outside of their vehicle, sip hot cocoa and even get a picture of Santa Claus himself in addition to local providers. A portion of every ticket sold for this event will be donated to the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities-New Mexico.
November 27th – December 30th
Enjoy the magic of millions of twinkling lights and nearly 600 dazzling Christmas shows at New Mexico’s largest walk-in light show. All that is required to visit the River of Lights is a reserved timed ticket purchased online. While the famous polar bear express does not run this Christmas season, Santa Claus is getting a new train. Tickets are now available to the general public.

Enjoy one of Albuquerque’s most popular traditions of supporting local businesses along Nob Hill. The tree lighting as well as the shopping and strolling will start on December 5th. M’Tuccis and Little Bear as well as University Lodge and The Farmacy will be hosting events, details of which will follow shortly.
December 3, 2021 at 5 p.m.
Start your Christmas shopping in the historic old town during the unofficial start of the Christmas season. Visit Plaza Don Luis for the tree lighting at 6pm. Sip hot chocolate and enjoy live entertainment throughout the old town and in the pavilion. Local musicians and dance groups bring the holiday mood to your strolling experience. Get the holiday season rolling with entertainment, dining, shopping, and more! Free parking is available in the parking lot on the corner of 18th St. and Bellamah Ave. The car park is a short walk to and from the historic old town. Limited shuttles take event goers to and from the Albuquerque Museum near the Old Town Plaza from 4:30 PM. Enjoy free entry to the Albuquerque Museum as it is open until 9:00 PM. 8.30 p.m. Guests can also have Christmas fun with an ornament activity from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The streets throughout the old town will be closed to traffic from 3:00 p.m. Well behaved, leashed pets are welcome.

The Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation Festival of Trees is a seasonal celebration that spreads the Christmas cheer for a good cause. The weekend engagement includes a cocktail gala for mixing and jingle, live music performances by local acts, handcrafted decorations for sale, exciting Christmas activities for children, an elven workshop and a visit from Santa Claus.

This free, family-friendly holiday event brings shine to a mile-long stretch of Central Avenue. The Nob Hill procession goes west from Washington St. to Girard Blvd. from 5:15 p.m. The parade consists of local companies, organizations, school groups and families all fighting for the best in show. Bring the family to celebrate and enjoy this city tradition. The Twinkle Light Parade is on Central Avenue west through Nob Hill from Washington St. to Girard Blvd. Central Avenue will be closed to traffic at 3:00 p.m. in preparation for the parade. Free parking is available in the parking lot on the southwest corner of Lomas Blvd. and University Blvd.

At the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center’s Pueblo Shop & Stroll on Friday December 6th, you can purchase a bazaar with local artists selling handcrafted clay ornaments, nativity sets, jewelry, art and gifts at the end of the day the whole family can enjoy a special nightly indigenous dance while sipping hot cocoa by the campfire or strolling among hundreds of luminarias.

The Holiday Market at Rail Yards plans to be a personal event this year, so keep it local and safe for the holidays. Enjoy the best of Burque’s local small businesses. The vendors offer delicious food made from scratch and high quality handcrafted crafts. The event brings together food, art and music for the holidays. ABQ Trolly Co. is back with this popular Christmas lights tour. The 75-minute tour begins at the Hotel Albuquerque in the old town. Tickets can be bought online. Parking is free and only a few minutes’ walk from the old town.
