For the fourth year in a row, Albuquerque has been named the best city for film and the best place to live and work as a filmmaker. MovieMaker magazine announced Tuesday that Albuquerque was ranked #1 for its affordability and variety of locations and work opportunities. “Albuquerque is one of the fastest growing centers for sustainable, high-tech film production in North America,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “The industry has grown here despite the challenges of the pandemic, creating jobs and opportunity in our community, providing local businesses with new dollars and attracting new businesses both inside and outside the creative industries.” According to MovieMaker magazine, no other city has matched the earned the prestigious spot four years in a row. “Four #1s is amazing and a testament to how much Albuquerque has exploded as a production hub,” said MovieMaker Editor-in-Chief Tim Molloy. “Albuquerque is a beautiful, friendly, affordable and very livable city that offers an excellent work-life balance.” Toronto, Atlanta, Montreal and Boston all lagged behind Albuquerque in the major cities category

According to MovieMaker magazine, no other city has earned this prestigious spot four years in a row.
