Albuquerque Police Arrest Smoking Store Owner For Drug Trafficking

APD arrests smokehouse owner for smuggling drugs out of his shop

The Albuquerque Police Department has arrested the owner of an Albuquerque tobacconist for smuggling drugs out of his home and business. Gabriel Guevara, 40, was arrested after police said they had his store, G-Spot Smoke Shop, and Guevara is investigating the area’s main drug dealer for fentanyl and marijuana. Police say detectives have been able to purchase fentanyl pills from the store and his home on multiple occasions. APD worked with the Drug Enforcement Agency to serve warrants at both the store and the Guevara home. Police were able to confiscate the following items: 10 confiscated guns 7 pistols in total including 4 stolen 3 AR-15 rifles including 1 stolen fentanyl pills oxycodone pills $60,000 in cash in various denominations 60 pounds of marijuana paraphernalia related to the drug trade Counterfeit money60 pounds of marijuana The G-Spot smoke shop has been shut down and Guevara faces charges of dealing in controlled substances, receiving stolen property, distributing a controlled substance and possessing a controlled substance.

The Albuquerque Police Department has arrested the owner of an Albuquerque tobacconist for smuggling drugs out of his home and business.

Gabriel Guevara, 40, was arrested after police said they investigated his business, the G-Spot Smoke Shop, and said Guevara was the area’s top drug dealer for fentanyl and marijuana.

According to police, detectives were able to purchase fentanyl pills from the store and his home on several occasions.

APD worked with the Drug Enforcement Agency to serve warrants at both Guevara’s business and home.

The police seized the following items:

  • A total of 10 weapons were confiscated
  • 7 pistols, 4 of which were stolen
  • 3 AR-15 rifles, 1 of which was stolen
  • fentanyl pills
  • oxycodone pills
  • $60,000 in cash in various denominations
  • 60 pounds of marijuana
  • Paraphernalia related to drug trafficking
  • counterfeit money
  • 60 pounds of marijuana

The G-Spot smoke shop has been shut down and Guevara faces charges of trafficking controlled substances, receiving stolen property, distributing a controlled substance and possessing a controlled substance.
