Albuquerque SWAT arrest murder suspect and repeat felon

The auto theft unit for Albuquerque Police Department arrested a pair facing felony charges after activating its SWAT team on Nov. 16.33-year-old Christopher Campos was wanted on five felony warrants, including stealing vehicles. On Wednesday, Campos was located by APD detectives inside a Black GTR. Along with Campos, detectives identified Anjanette Martinez who had an active warrant for her arrest and is a suspect of a homicide. Their vehicle was eventually tracked to an apartment on Pacific Avenue Southwest. APD SWAT was activated at the residence. Court documents show Campos attempted to tunnel through the drywall into another apartment to escape police.Campos and Martinez both exited the apartment and were taken into police custody. APD’s auto theft unit was investigating into Campos for months and linked him to six stolen vehicles.
