BENITO JOSE ROMERO
Benito Jose Romero (Largo) went home to our Lord on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at the age of 97. Benito joins his mother, father, brother, and wife Marylou in heaven where they are sure to be spending their time enjoying the eternal light of our Lord.
Benito will be lovingly remembered by his four children Billy Gene Romero (wife Lisa), Nina Romero, Karen Brown (husband Patrick), Flora C. Martinez (husband John) and numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great, Great Grandchildren.
Benito was an honored combat of the Korean War and World War II he served our County honorably.
Benito was loved by so many. His positive outlook, generous spirit and kind heart left an impression wherever he went and with whoever he met. He never met a stranger that he didn’t quickly become a friend; he always went out of this way to help anyone in need and had an incredible way of caring for others that will forever be remembered.
Please join Benito’s family in celebrating his life on June 26th for the Rosary at 6:00 pm at Rivera’s Funeral home in Espanola, mass on June 27th at 9:00 am at Nuestra Senora De Guadalupe De Valle Catholic Church in Pojoaque, burial at the National Cemetery on June 28th at 10:00 am in Santa Fe.
