Crews put out fire at Pelicans Restaurant in northwest Albuquerque

[1] APD investigates alleged traffic shooting near the old town APD is looking for the person who shot and killed a man in a street rage incident near the old town. The incident occurred at around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday in Central and Rio Grande. Witnesses told police that there was a confrontation between people in two cars when someone opened fire in one of the cars before escaping the area. A man from the other car was killed. Police say the victim has a preliminary IDE and believe he is from Albuquerque.

[2] Trial begins of man accused of stabbing stranger in South Valley Albertsons Trial is under way against man accused of stabbing stranger in South Valley grocery store. Prosecutors say the victim, Daniel Sandoval, and his wife passed Lucas Herron on their way to the store in Rio Bravo and Isleta. Investigators say Herron confronted the couple at the store and they got into an argument before Herron stabbed Sandoval. On Wednesday, the defense argued that Herron did not see well and did not understand what was happening. The process is supposed to take a week.
