DACC to show films for Hispanic Heritage month

The public is invited to attend free showings of several movies at the Doña Ana Community College (DACC)’s Library in celebration of Hispanic Heritage month.

The movies are part of the Kanopy Film showing happening every Thursday beginning September 15th to October 13th at the DACC East Mesa Library, 2800 Sonoma Ranch Blvd. Kanopy is a unique film and documentary database used by the DACC Library. The films shown will relate to the history of Hispanic Heritage Month in fiction and non-fiction formats.

Films shown will be:

  • Cows Wearing Glasses: Las Vacas Con Gafas – September 15th
  • Critical Thinking – September 22nd
  • Corpus: A Home Movie for Selena – September 29th
  • Discover Latino History & The Latino Influence on the United States – October 6th
  • No Place to Grow – October 13th

According to Hispanicheritagemonth.gov, Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated each year from September 15th to October 15th. The month recognizes the achievements and contributions of Hispanic American champions who have inspired others to achieve success.
