Dark Circles offers free dance classes for the Mesilla Valley

LAS CRUCES – Dark Circles Contemporary Dance offers two free community master classes.

“We hope this is the start of a series of free monthly community masterclasses led by seasoned dance professionals from around the world,” said Joshua L. Peugh, founder and artistic director of Dark Circles, who is based in Las Cruces. “We want to offer the Mesilla Valley innovative and excellent contemporary dance.”

Erin Vonder Haar, Vanessa Owen and Gavin Stewart – three of the five professional dance artists that Dark Circles has hired for Las Cruces Chamber Ballet and Micheles Dance Academy’s annual production of The Nutcracker – will lead the classes.

“The fact that these sought-after, world-class professional dancers teach and perform in Las Cruces gives young artists in our area the opportunity to see, learn from, and work side by side with professionals in their own town while enjoying the.” Promote community building citywide, ”said Peugh.

Classes take place on Saturday, December 11th at 10am and noon at Las Cruces High School and are free and open to the public (ages 12+).
