LAS CRUCES – The District 3-5A softball team was released this week.
Following a run to the Class 5A state championship game, Centennial had seven players earn All District recognition and Hawks coach Fernie Valles was named the Coach of the Year.
Centennial’s Caprice Barela, Monet Chavez, Kayla Hernandez, Stevie Jimenez, Amanda Valles, Gianna Villegas and Alena Herndez were selected for All District.
Representing the other schools:
Alamogordo: Kendal Lunar, Sydney Lessentine, Alexis Rodriguez, Mariah Grandado, Hailey Evans.
Mayfield: Jordan Rivera, Jayden Ybarra, Jackie Morales, Morgan Martinez.
Organ Mountain: Aaliyah Torrez, Hanna Hopkins, Juliana Milo.
Deming: Bianco Valverde, Nayeli Trujillo.
Gadsden: Destiny Perez.
Las Cruces: Kaia Renteria.
