Doña Ana County Government Center will reopen on Tuesday

Update: The county reported late Monday afternoon that the water leak has been fixed and business services will resume at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, December 21st.

LAS CRUCES – A Doña Ana county press release stated that a water leak was detected at the county’s government center, 854 N. Motel Blvd., which means it must close and all staff members will be sent home immediately.

The district announced that the cash office, the secretariat, community development and the assessor’s office will be closed.

Doña Ana County’s Facilities & Parks are working to repair the leak and restore water to the building. County officials say they will notify the public and staff once the issue is resolved.

“We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause the public,” said County Manager Fernando Macias.
