Fall football schedules for Las Cruces, Mayfield, Organ Mountain, Centennial high released

LAS CRUCES — The 2022 fall football schedules for the four major Las Cruces high schools were released this week.

Las Cruces, Centennial, Organ Mountain and Mayfield high schools are all scheduled to play a full 10-game regular season before the playoffs begin in November. All four schools will begin their regular seasons the weekend of Aug. 19 and conclude their regular seasons the weekend of Oct. 28

The four schools will also each play one game against each other. Las Cruces, Centennial and Organ Mountain, three Class 6A schools, will all meet in district play. The three schools will also each play one game against Class 5A Mayfield in non-district play during September. All home games are scheduled to be played at the Field of Dreams.

The annual Las Cruces-Mayfield rivalry game is slated for Friday, Sept 16.

Las Cruces will play an away game at Eastwood High School (El Paso) Sept. 2 at 7 pm while Centennial will host Franklin High School (El Paso) the week before. Centennial will also play a game at Chapin High School (El Paso) Sept. 30.
