Kenneth Lee Walker’s beloved son, brother, husband, father and grandfather died on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the age of 51 at his Sulfur Springs, Texas home. While living with a variety of complications from diabetes, his death came unexpectedly. Ken was born and raised in Bonham, Texas, spent part of his youth in Los Alamos, New Mexico, where he later returned to his “mom” as an adult and in 1999 the love of his life, Jennifer, met Levings and they married 2002. The two later moved to northeast Texas and eventually settled in Sulfur Springs.

Ken will be remembered for his kind heart, quick wit and excellent sense of humor. He loved his family, children and grandchildren.

Ken had great compassion for animals and had rescued numerous lost or rejected dogs and cats over the course of his life and gave them safe and loving homes. He also had a penchant for dirt track stock car racing, which he shared with his father at an early age. Ken recently watched his final races with his uncle Danny at Grayson County Speedway. Ken was deeply sentimental about this track and its connections with his late father, Bobby Walker.

Ken is perhaps best remembered for his passion for golf, passed on from his maternal grandfather, also a Ken. He pursued this passion through various jobs in the golf business after having worked on various golf courses in New Mexico and Texas. The motivation for his jobs on golf courses was to support his enthusiasm for the game as often as possible. He was an accomplished player and helped many others with tips and lessons to improve their game. The golf course was really his lucky spot and he leaves a long list of golf buddies.

Ken is killed by his father Bobby Walker, sister Katie Walker, grandparents Cubby and Ken Grisham, and AL and Lucille Walker, and mother-in-law Patti Levings.

He left behind his wife, Jennifer Walker, of Sulfur Springs, Texas; Mother Diedra “Debbie” Thomas and stepfather Dan Thomas from Los Alamos, New Mexico; Father-in-law Stephen Levings of Wausau, Wisconsin; Brother Joe (Liz) Walker from Los Alamos; Sister Amanda (Chris) Skidmore of Farmington, New Mexico; Sister Cindy (Chris) Hawthorn of Sherman, Texas; Son Bryant Walker of Dallas, Texas; Daughter Haley Walker of Denison, Texas; together with 3 grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family in Texas, New Mexico and Wisconsin.
