Las Cruces Lacrosse is looking for players

Bulletin report

The Las Cruces Lacrosse Program is looking for players ages 8-14 for the fall season.

The training started on September 9th and takes place on Thursdays from 5pm to 6.30pm in Frenger Park.

Lacrosse is traditionally a spring sport, but an autumn season is meant to get players familiar with the sport and get excited about the spring season, said head coach and club co-founder Janae Kraus.

The cost of signing up for the fall season is $ 20, but you must be a USA Lacrosse member to participate. A youth membership in the U.S. Lacrosse includes insurance, lasts for a year, and costs $ 30, Kraus said.

You can get a membership by going to USALacrosse.com/membership.

The club has equipment that can be borrowed.

“I don’t think people notice that we are here, and we want to get the word out,” said Kraus.

The fall season will culminate October 9-10 with a tournament in Santa Fe.

“We get people excited about spring, give them some playtime and give them a feel for what lacrosse is all about,” said Kraus.
