Day 1 of Balloon Fiesta’s morning mass ascension is in the books. Conditions were near perfect for flying early in the morning until just after 8:00 am when winds started picking up at the field. Most balloons landed safely except for one balloon that became entangled in a light pole near downtown Albuquerque.
