Las Vegas Police: Security guard injured in shootout at Santa Fe train station

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) – Las Vegas police investigated a shootout at the Santa Fe train station Thursday afternoon.

At around 2:44 pm on December 16, the police were called to the hotel casino in the 4900 block of North Rancho Drive for a “disturbance”.

When the police arrived, they found a casino security officer with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the university hospital where he was stabilized with non-life threatening injuries.

A kind of unrest led to the suspect pulling a gun, the police at the scene said. The suspect was arrested.

According to the police, it was an isolated incident and there was no danger to the population. Part of the casino was closed to the investigation, but the property remained open.
