Man found dead in riverbed in Santa Fe Springs – Whittier Daily News

A man was found fatally stabbed to death in a homeless camp in Santa Fe Springs late Sunday evening, November 21, police said.

The coroner’s office identified the man as 63-year-old Ronald Quinones. They didn’t have a place to live for him.

The homeless camp is located in the riverbed near Block 15200 on Bonavista Avenue, Lt. David Elizarraras of the Whittier Police Department.

Someone from the camp called the police at 11:39 p.m. on Sunday, he said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

He didn’t know what led to the knife wounds, but said the police were looking for a possible suspect.

Santa Fe Springs has contracts with the Whittier Police Department.
