Motorcyclists killed after collision on Lomas Boulevard [Albuquerque, NM]

Motorcycle collision on Lomas Boulevard cost a driver his life

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (September 9, 2021) – On Sunday evening a motorcyclist was killed in a collision on Lomas Boulevard.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Lomas Boulevard and Louisiana Boulevard, according to the report.

According to police, the motorcyclist was driving west when a four-door sedan headed east suddenly turned in front of the driver, causing the motorcycle to overturn the sedan.

The crash also knocked the rider off his bike.

The driver was wearing a helmet at the time, but suffered serious injuries and was admitted to the University of New Mexico hospital.

Unfortunately, the driver died in the hospital from the extent of his injuries.

According to APD, the limousine driver stayed on site and provided information about the accident.

Drugs or alcohol do not appear to have contributed to the fatal collision, but an active investigation is ongoing.
