ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) — The UNM men’s golf team is attempting to defend its title at Mountain West. The team begins its spring season Monday at the Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson.
After a successful fall season that included wins in Nevada and the Conference tournament, Coach Glen Millican is pleased with where his roster is. “Being in those situations just makes the guys better,” Millican said. “They know what they are capable of. It lets them know how well they can play when things are going well, but it also lets them know that every time we win or play really well, it’s not the result of perfect golf. I think the more they understand how little they have to do to be competitive, the better we can go on.”
