NMSU hosts fashion camp for high school students

LAS CRUCES – New Mexico State University’s fashion merchandising and design program is hosting its 2022 fashion camp this July for high school students.

According to the NMSU news release, the one-day camp is open for students entering the 11th and 12th grades and is organized by NMSU faculty Insook Ahn and Kelly Cleary Coffeen who hosted the first camp in 2021.

Students will learn about the fashion and textile industry, entrepreneurship, social media influencing and more, according to the release.

“Students received firsthand experience in creating their designs through creative workshops and projects. We provided advice and feedback to the students, so they would be able to improve their work and build confidence.” Ahn said.
