Pojoaque Valley School District Superintendent Sondra Adams said Wednesday the district is investigating a worrying allegation involving Pojoaque Valley High School student-athletes that was reported over the weekend.
Adams did not say which exercise programs or how many athletes were involved in the investigation, nor what type of haze. She said the district was made aware of allegations involving “some of our students” through an anonymous report through a reporting application they used.
“The Pojoaque Valley School District is committed to ensuring the safety of students and the school environment and will discipline any misconduct found,” said Adams.
Adams said the county reported the incident to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s office and is cooperating with the investigation. Sheriff’s Office spokesman Juan Ríos has not been able to confirm that an investigation is ongoing.
