Police probe double homicide in west Albuquerque
Person of interest has been detained

A homicide investigation is underway, after police discovered two bodies Sunday morning in west Albuquerque. A person of interest has been detained, and is being questioned by the police. It’s the third deadly incident in the city, over the last 24 hours. APD Lt. Ray Del Greco says officers responded to a shot fired call at the Circle K store located at 98th St. NW and Central Ave. NW. The officers initially found a man who was pronounced dead at the scene. During their investigation, a woman was also found and pronounced deceased. “It’s likely that it’s all connected,” Lt. Del Greco said. “All of these individuals appear to be related. This isn’t an isolated incident.”
