‘Rising star’ takes leadership role at Sotheby’s Santa Fe | Local News

Just two years into his career, Drew Lamprich of Sotheby’s International Realty Santa Fe was named a rising star by the Santa Fe Association of Realtors in 2018.

Its star is now skyrocketing as Sotheby’s announced that Lamprich will become vice president and qualified broker of the Santa Fe operation in early 2022.

Lamprich, 41, succeeds Gregg Antonsen, who has been running the company’s Santa Fe operations since 2011, and will move to Honolulu, where he lived prior to taking office. Under Antonsen, Sotheby’s sales volume – the sum of all home sales – tripled to $ 1.2 billion in 2020.

“The last two years have been absolutely incredible,” said Antonsen.

Antonsen said he had undertaken a nationwide and nationwide search for his successor but ended up with his own recruit. Antonsen has worked with Lamprich from the start with the realtor Penelope Vasquez, whom he describes as “one of our top realtors”.

“When I first interviewed Drew, I remembered what my father said, ‘Always find someone to take your place,'” said Antonsen. “Drew has great leadership skills. He’s a great negotiator. He’s the type of person who walks into the room and lowers the temperature when people are excited. “

While he was still learning real estate, Lamprich volunteered for the Santa Fe Association of Realtors, which recognized him as a “rising star” in 2018. He joined the group’s board of directors in 2019. He will be elected in 2022 and SFAR President in 2023.

“He was a rookie who started out in business and yet he was ready to do so as he started building his own business,” said Paco Arguello, the association’s CEO. “He has devoted his time and expertise to the entire membership.”

Lamprich said he was interested in helping real estate agents become fluent with the video marketing that existed before the pandemic but was instant focus in April 2020 when the personal open house days and screenings disappeared. He said he and Vasquez were making videos before the pandemic, but many real estate professionals are new to the medium.

“I think one thing I bring to the table is to get into technology and get people to know about technology,” said Lamprich. “I want to highlight and differentiate ourselves. [Video] has brought something new to the market when it comes to the presentation of a property. “

Prior to his real estate business, Lamprich worked in social services in California after college and then moved to Austin, Texas, where he worked at a Lowe’s Home Improvement Center and eventually became a branch manager. He was also the national sales director for a nutritional supplement company.Lamprich studied Metropolitan Studies at New York University and Sociology at the University of Tulsa.
