Ledes from the Land of Enchantment

‘Tenners’ on exhibit at Deming Arts Center

The Ten O’Clock Club, also known as “The Tenners,” announced the opening of their new art exhibition, titled “Reflections,” on display at the Deming Arts Center in January.

The group of five Las Cruces artists has collaborated since 2005, taking their name from the hour they would regularly meet at Las Cruces cafes — 10 am on the 10th of each month. The group includes artists working in various media, including assemblage, ceramics, collage, jewelry design, photography, printmaking and more. They have shown their works in galleries across Doña Ana County as well, often orienting their work around environmental themes, the Deming Art Center stated in a news release.

A reception with the artists will open at 1 pm on Sunday, Jan. 8 at the downtown art center, located at 100 S. Gold Ave. More information is available from the Deming Arts Center at 575-546-3663 or online at www.DemingArts.org. The center also maintains a Facebook page with updated information.

The “Reflections” exhibition is supported in part by New Mexico Arts, a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs, and by the National Endowment for the Arts.
