Ledes from the Land of Enchantment

The Albuquerque group leaves the waitress a generous tip in hopes of instilling friendliness?

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – It’s the time of giving and a group of friends are doing just that. Their generous kindness made the waiters at a local coffee shop smile from ear to ear.

“Vic’s is a good old-fashioned bacon and egg cafe,” says Mike Carter, one of the owners of Coldwell Banker in Albuquerque. He is a regular at Vic’s and eats there with his business partners at least once a week.

Recently, Carter and a group of twenty-three of his friends decided to give something back to the staff at his cafe. All 24 who meet for brunch, order their meals and step in for a very generous tip.

The group gave their waitress over $ 2,000. In complete disbelief, she asked if she could share the money with her colleagues, who were shocked by the friendly gesture.

Carter says he got the idea from posting on social media. “I just shared it,” said Carter. “Next, all of my friends beat me up and said we had to do this,” he said.

He hopes that their kindness will inspire others in the same way.
