Thomas Longoria Obituary (2021) – Albuquerque, NM

Thomas Christopher Longoria

Thomas Christopher Longoria (Tommy) from Rio Rancho, New Mexico, a loving son, brother, father and uncle passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2021.

Tommy was born on August 12, 1985 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from Manzano High School in 2003 and has been with Jack’s Mechanical Solutions in Albuquerque for 13 years. He started at the bottom and worked his way up to area manager for all locations in New Mexico. Jack’s is a family business and he was considered one of the family members. He made some amazing friends, not just with Jack, but with the many contractors and suppliers he worked with. He is survived by his daughter Olivia Longoria; Parents, Robert and Sharon Longoria; Sister and brother-in-law, Megan and Phillip Lightle; Sister and brother-in-law, Erin and Ayo Akinnikawe; Nieces, Jordyn and Ryann Lightle, Ayanna and Aria Akinnikawe; and nephews, Case Lightle and Alexander Akinnikawe. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Raymond and Odelia Longoria of Oxnard, CA and Howard and Hope Gage of Oxnard, CA. Tommy was a great father to his daughter Olivia, whom he loved. Even when he was working in Phoenix, he drove back almost every weekend to see her and hang out with her as much as possible. He was a great uncle and had special bonds with all of his nieces and nephews. He was always happy to get new tattoos. Some were crazy, but each tattoo had a special meaning to him and told his story. He was also enthusiastic about music. He liked going to concerts and talking to anyone interested about music. He also enjoyed collecting records and started to have a whole collection. He enjoyed playing golf and bowling and was an avid fan of the Washington Football Team. Although he was only 36 years old at the time of his death, Tommy influenced many people in his life and was taken away from us far too soon. He will be remembered for his smiles and laughter that could fill a room. Many people will miss him. Please visit us on Friday, September 24th at 12:00 p.m. for a memorial service in FRENCH – Lomas.
