Ledes from the Land of Enchantment

We speak to actor William H. Macy

LAS CRUCES – Audiences have seen actor William H. Macy on screen in hits like “Fargo,” “Room,” “Magnolia,” and “Shameless,” and now Las Crucens has a chance to see him in person at Las Cruces International Film Festival, where he will receive the 2022 Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Entertainment Industry.

The 7th Annual Film Festival will be held in person at Cineport 10 from March 2nd to 6th. Day two will see Fargo on the big screen, followed by a Q&A with Macy.

The actor told Sun News that he enjoys attending film festivals that celebrate independent films. He described the festivals as the “elixir of life” of indie film.

This week we catch up with Las Cruces Sun-News trend reporter Leah Romero about her interview with Macy — and hear from Macy herself.
