The church’s pumpkin patch will see donations for a local food bank.

A local church will be hoisting a pumpkin sale to raise funds for a local food pantry, a charitable event that happens every year around Halloween. Staff writers at The Reporter wrote about the charitable event.

The annual Pumpkin Patch at Yardley United Methodist Church will be held from Oct. 16 to Oct. 31. The event will be at noon on the opening day and end at 6 PM on Halloween.

With hundreds of pumpkins available for sale, the proceeds will go on to benefit the Penndel Food Pantry, where the money will be used to by nutrient-dense foods for Bucks County residents in need.

The pumpkins that will be sold are grown on the Navajo Reservation in Farmington, New Mexico. The crop benefits the Native American population in that area, who are experiencing an unemployment crisis of great measures.
