FLAGSTAFF, AZ — A body found in Arizona has been positively identified as a 27-year-old woman reported missing from New Mexico.
Sasha Krause disappeared from her home in Farmington, New Mexico, on Jan. 18, 2020, officials say.
Last week, a camper reportedly found a body near Sunset Crater National Monument, according to Coconino County Sheriff’s Office.
On Monday evening, officials determined it was Krause’s body that was found, based on a fingerprint match. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in the case. Anyone who may have recently seen anything suspicious in the area of Sunset Crater and Wupatki National Monument is asked to contact Silent Witness at 928-774-6111 or Coconino County Sheriff’s Detective Jones at 928-226-5038.
