Borderland Crimes, Podcast 10: Blood and Heartbreak as Murder by the Rio Grande unsolved after 27 years

Borderland Crimes Podcast

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico – The murder of Robert Rocha, 43, has been unsolved for nearly three decades. The retired US Navy veteran and father of three daughters was found shot dead on June 28, 1994 at Mesilla Dam outside Las Cruces.

The Dona Ana County Sheriff’s detectives have still not arrested anyone and charged the crime. But Rocha’s daughter believes someone who was once close to her father – and who is well known to the entire family – has information that could break the case.

If you have information on this case, the sheriff’s detectives ask that you call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (8477).
