Cannabis pharmacy opens in Las Cruces

Bulletin report

A cannabis dispensary opened in Las Cruces, 1405 S. Valley Drive. It is located in the same mall as the Village Inn restaurant, near the intersection of Valley and Avenida de Mesilla.

Green Goods opened on August 18th. The company is a subsidiary of Goodness Growth Holdings, Inc. which defines itself as “a doctor-run, science-led cannabis company and intellectual property incubator.”

The Las Cruces location is a 2,490 square foot store, Green Goods said in a press release, making it Goodness Growth’s largest retail space in New Mexico. Green Goods also opened a new 1,995 square foot pharmacy in Albuquerque. The two companies together could create 30 jobs, the press release said.

The new dispensaries will offer a wide range of Vireo Health products and items from other cannabis growers in New Mexico, including cannabis flowers, concentrates, pre-rolls, edibles, tinctures and topicals, the press release said.

The city of Las Cruces does not yet have a specific name for cannabis companies, but this is likely the first or one of the first to be licensed in Las Cruces.

The Las Cruces pharmacy is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
