Cyndia Ann Maxwell of Pleasanton, passed away on July 14, 2022. She was born in Roscoe, Texas, in 1938 to Albert and Helen Munroe. As a youth, she moved to Plainview with her family. She married James (Jim) Maxwell of Plainview in 1956.

Cyndia began her legal career in Hale County where she worked as secretary to the County Attorney. As Jim advanced in his career as a Court Reporter, Cyndia prepared his transcripts. Their careers took them to Birmingham, Alabama and then back to Texas, where they worked in Karnes County and Atascosa County. She retired as a District Court Coordinator.

Cyndia was preceded in death by her parents in 2001 and 2012, by her son Keith Maxwell on July 6, 2012, and by Jim on October 18, 2014.

Cyndia is survived by three younger sisters Mary Alice Reed of Chino, California, Nancy Carter and husband Troy of Plainview and Janie Thomas of Amarill by son Kevin Maxwell and Keith’s son Tyler Maxwell of Pleasanton and son Kelly Maxwell and wife Ashley of Farmington, New Mexico . Cyndia was survived by seven grandsons and one granddaughter.

A service is being planned when the family can gather to honor Cyndia.
