LAS CRUCES – While many shops will be closed on Christmas Day, Saturday December 25th, several restaurants will continue to be open for those looking for a meal over the holidays.

Restaurant Doppeladler

This historic destination is open for a buffet brunch on Saturdays at 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM. After your meal, admire the sights of Mesilla Plaza. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 575-523-6700.

golden Star

Dine or pick up your favorite Chinese food at Golden Star Saturday between 10:30 am and 9:30 pm. They are located at 1420 El Paseo Rd.


Do you fancy pancakes? Good news – IHOP is open all day on Saturday. Go to 351 E. University Ave. or 2900 N. Telshor Blvd. for a stack of pancakes with marshmallows, breakfast items or an appetizer.


The Encanto’s on-site restaurant serves a Christmas dinner on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Go to 705 S. Telshor Blvd. to enjoy. Walk-ins are welcome, or reservations can be made by calling 1-866-383-0443.

Village inn

On this holiday, visit the most popular diner for a leisurely meal from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Both locations are also open on Christmas Eve from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. And don’t forget to grab a piece of cake while you’re there. Diners are located in 1435 S. Valley Dr. and 445 Telshor Blvd.
