Eunice Baxa

Eunice Jean Baxa (née Adair) passed away on Oct. 25, 2022 at age 96. She was born on Aug. 22, 1926, at Palo, Iowa, of parents Allen & Grace (née Quinn) Adair. In 1948, Eunice married Darrell Dake, they later divorced; they had one daughter, Diane (Jerry) Streeper. In 1959, Eunice married Robert Baxa and had two children, Robin (Roy van der Aa) Baxa and Adam (Riza) Baxa.

She is survived by her two younger children; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her brother, Wayne Adair; and sister-in-law, Imogene (Marvin) Adair. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bertha (Bill) Struve and Elsie Kerkman; brother, Marvin (Imogene) Adair; daughter Diane (Jerry) Streeper; and both husbands, Darrell Dake and Robert Baxa.

Eunice was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, a long-time farmer’s wife, and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She requested no services and will be cremated.
