With wildfires that have raged around the state this season, officials reminded residents to be responsible and stick to legal fireworks. Patrols will respond to reports of illegal fireworks. Fireworks with labels that say “warning” are illegal in Albuquerque. Those that say “caution” are legal.
“July 4th is one of the busiest days for our members every year. The safety of our community is our priority and we ask the residents of Albuquerque to help us by being careful and only using legal fireworks,” Fire Marshal Kris Romero said in a statement. “Our team will be patrolling the entire city and our open spaces so that we can respond quickly to emergencies that occur.”
Due to pandemic surges, counties or cities may adjust or cancel events at the last minute, so double-check with organizers. Know of other events in the area? Post them on the Patch calendar.
