FRANCISCO (FRANK) GARCIA
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francisco (Frank) Garcia. He was 84 years old upon his peaceful passing July 9, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan L. Garcia and Candelaria (Martinez) Garcia, and 3 siblings. Frank is survived by his wife of 59 years, Edwina (Roybal) Garcia, and his sons John Paul, wife Veronica, and Jerry Angelo. He loved his grandchildren Janine M. Chapman, husband Jeremy, and Francisco Ramon; and his great-grandchildren; Julia-Ann, Jia and Sammy. They affectionately referred to him as Grandpa Pops. Also survived by his brother Rubel Garcia, wife Virginia, sister Cecilia Melendez, along with numerous nephews, nieces and multiple friends. Frank was a member of the armed forces, both Navy and Air Force, totaling 8 years. After that, he joined the Santa Fe Police Department retiring as a Lieutenant having served the citizens of Santa Fe for 18 years.
He enjoyed helping his friends and family with construction projects, renovations and building additions to homes. He assisted in the building of the new Our Lady of Health Catholic Church in Las Cruces, NM. He enjoyed going fishing and hunting along with riding motorcycles and maintaining his beautiful yard.

For the health and safety of all, masks will be required to attend the following services honoring Frank. A rosary will be recited at Santa Maria De La Paz, 11 College Ave, Santa Fe, NM, on Wednesday, July 27, at 9:30 am following the visitation at 9:00 am. The Catholic Mass will be held at 10: 00 am at Santa Maria De La Paz, followed by burial services with full military honors at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 pm
