Gas prices rise 3 cents in Santa Fe | Companies

New Mexico gasoline prices rose the most in Santa Fe and Las Cruces last week, according to the AAA New Mexico Weekend Gas Watch.

Santa Fe’s average regular unleaded gas price rose 3 cents to $ 3.15 a gallon for the week ended Thursday, the same increase as Las Cruces, where gas hit $ 3.11 a gallon. Albuquerque lost a penny to $ 3.10 and Farmington was flat at $ 3.48.

In New Mexico, fuel prices rose 1 cent overall to $ 3.12 a gallon, AAA reported.

“Average gas prices are still volatile after the Gulf recently suffered two storms in Texas and Louisiana that affected the oil and gas industry,” said Daniel Armbruster, spokesman for the AAA New Mexico, in a press release.

Typically more expensive fuel prices than New Mexico, Arizona was priced almost the same at $ 3.15 a gallon. Colorado was trading at $ 3.56 a gallon and Nevada was $ 3.93. Texas, with the cheapest gas in the country, had an average price of $ 2.82.
