FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) – The trial of a US Air Force aviator has reached its scheduled halfway point. Mark Gooch is charged with first degree murder and kidnapping in the death of Sasha Krause early last year. The jury heard from one of Gooch’s older brothers on Wednesday, along with the coroner and staff from the state crime laboratory and Coconino County sheriff’s office. Krause disappeared from the Mennonite community where she lived near Farmington, New Mexico while she was collecting supplies for Sunday school. Her body was found in a clearing outside of Flagstaff, Arizona, more than a month later.
