Katherine Heigl Joins Robert Luketic’s Five Killers

“Grey’s Anatomy” actress Katherine Heigl has signed on to star opposite Ashton Kutcher in the Lionsgate thriller Five Killers. We announced that Kutcher would be joining back in October, so this isn’t the first time we’ve heard of it. Five Killers is being directed by Robert Luketic, of 21 and The Ugly Truth, and was originally written by Bob DeRosa (The Air I Breathe), with Ted Griffin (Ocean’s Eleven, Matchstick Men) handling the rewrite. The story kicks off when a woman marries the man of her dreams (Kutcher), but their lives are turned upside down when they discover that their neighbors may be assassins hired to kill them.

I’m going to be frank and say that I’m not that fond of Katherine Heigl. Why is everyone sticking up for her? She had a big break with Knocked Up, which I admit she was great in, but now every future project she gets attached to, everyone seems to complain. Oh, why isn’t she doing something better for her career? I don’t hate Heigl by any means, but I’m not going to stick up for her and give her more credit than she deserves! She’s just another run-of-the-mill good looking actress who has a good TV show and got big because Judd Apatow made her look good. That said, I’m curious to see what Five Killers is all about. Thoughts?
