LAS CRUCES, NM – The final kickoff time of the season has been announced for NM State football. The Aggies will meet with Liberty beginning at 12 pm ET / 10 am MT on Saturday, November 26 in Lynchburg, Virginia. The late November clash will be streamed on ESPN+ and can be accessed through the ESPN app.

Following Saturday’s dismantling of Lamar, the Aggies are just two wins away from bowl eligibility. NM State scored 51 points against the Cardinals on Saturday to mark its highest single-game total since 2019 against New Mexico. With the win, NM State moves to 4-5 on the season; Its winningest season since a trip to the Arizona Bowl in 2017.

Liberty entered last weekend’s action at No. 19 in the AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Poll before falling on the road to UConn, 36-33. Following the loss, the Flames sit unranked at 8-2 on the season and will meet with Virginia Tech on Saturday.

In the near future, NM State and Liberty will be a Conference USA game with much higher implications. Both the Aggies and the Flames will move to C-USA for the 2023-24 athletic season. Currently, both NM State and Liberty compete as FBS Independents. So Jacksonville State (Jacksonville, Ala.) and Sam Houston (Huntsville, Texas) want to join C-USA in 2023-24.
