Las Cruces High Schools, Santa Teresa, Deming are well represented in the state soccer selection

LAS CRUCES – According to the New Mexico High School Coaches Association website, 38 high school soccer players from the Las Cruces area have been selected for postseason honors across all states.

Two players from Las Cruces, Organ Mountain and Centennial high schools were selected as First Team All-State Class 6A, and five players from Mayfield, Santa Teresa and Deming High Schools were selected as First Team All-State Class 5A. There were 31 combined Second Team All-State and All-State Honorable Mentions between the six schools in the two classifications, with multiple players being named All-State in multiple positions.
