LAS CRUCES, New Mexico — A 30-year-old man was arrested at a restaurant near Organ Mountain High School on five counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor.
According to documents obtained by ABC-7, Nicholas Leeth had been abusing a girl between January 2015 through December 2021.
Leeth faces five counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor in the third degree. The first abuse incident began when the child was in third grade, according to a criminal complaint.
Investigators say in 2021 a detective was called to investigate a case in which pornographic images of the victim were found on Leeth’s phone.
Investigators say during an interview with a detective, Leeth admitted to performing sexual acts on himself while children were in the same room.
Children in the home, including the victim, were placed in the custody of Child Protective Services.
Leeth is being held without bond at the Doña Ana County Detention Center.
