Marion Spradling Obituary (1930 – 2022) – Peoria, AZ

Peoria, Arizona- Marion Evelyn Spradling, 92, of Peoria, passed on Saturday, July 23, 2022. She died peacefully at her home as she wanted, with her daughter, Katrina and her son-in-law, Chad by her side.

Marion was born in Mammoth, West Virginia. She lived with her family in Cedar Grove and later in Niagara Falls. She moved from Niagara Falls, New York to Peoria, Arizona in 1978. She worked in NY and later as a bookkeeper for many years for the state of Arizona. She enjoyed eating out, country dancing, listening to live music and spending time with family, friends and two “Yorkipoos.”

Marion was preceded in death by husband William, September 29, 1978, daughter Sharon K. Spradling, October 28, 2014, brother James Basham, May 28, 1997, niece Karen Basham Burress, April 23, 2013, and husband John Burress, July 6, 2010, and great nephew John Burress Jr., April 10, 2010.

She is survived by son Greg Spradling and wife, Jaynee Fontecchio-Spradling of Durango, Colorado; daughter Katrina Spradling and husband, Chad Corbitt, of Peoria Arizona; two grandchildren Jeremiah Spradling and wife Jennifer of Farmington, New Mexico and Erin Spradling Watts, and husband Daniel Watts of Carlsbad, California; five great grandchildren Sophia and Jeremiah Spradling and Jade, Ellie and Cole Watts; three step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren; Brother Charles Basham and wife Edna Basham of Rockville Maryland; Nephew Charles Basham Jr. and wife Laurie; niece Paula Basham Mejia and husband Nieves “Dino” Mejia; great nephew, Sean Basham; great nieces, Lauren Brown Stepek and husband Brendan; Kara Burress Fallen and husband Blake; great-great nieces and nephews, Cameron, Hadleigh, Henry, Tristen, Grayson and Fifi; and her stepnephews Sean and Leo Cummings.
