The governor’s office says the mandate for interior masks will remain in place when the state’s new public health ordinance goes into effect on Friday October 15.
“Hundreds of new Covid-19 cases are reported every day and hospitals across the state are close to emergency care standards,” the governor’s office said in an email to the Buletin. “It is important that New Mexicans continue to mask themselves to slow the spread. The best way to move forward and protect the New Mexicans is vaccination. “
