‘New Mexican’ seeks nominations for 10 Who Made a Difference awards | Local News

The Santa Fe New Mexican is seeking nominations for its 37th annual 10 Who Made a Difference Awards program, honoring people from across northern New Mexico who have devoted their time and volunteer service to making their communities stronger and more vital .

Since 1985, the newspaper has recognized hundreds of people who have worked quietly and tirelessly on a range of important causes, from feeding the needy and housing the homeless, to providing services to children, improving the local environment, to building Art and cultural organizations.

Your work may never have been more critical than it was during the coronavirus pandemic, which continues to affect households in economic distress.

The New Mexican will publish profiles of the 2021 award winners in the newspaper starting Thanksgiving, November 25th, and publish a magazine featuring the 10 award winners on December 8th.

Nominees for the 10 Who Made a Difference Awards must live or volunteer in northern New Mexico. If you know someone worthy of consideration, please submit a nomination letter detailing their commitment to the community.

We encourage nonprofit executives to consider their pool of hardworking volunteers and submit nominations.

A person who has been nominated in the past but has not been made an honorary winner is eligible for nomination; those who have previously been recognized are not eligible.

To submit a nomination, please email Cynthia Miller at [email protected] with the subject “10 who”.

Your submission must include full contact information for both you and the candidate, including mailing address, email address, and phone number.

The deadline for nominations is September 30th at 5 p.m.
