FARMINGTON, New Mexico (KOAT) – A 2-year-old Farmington boy could soon become the business up front, party down champion.

Neil Archuleta made it into the top 25 of the USA Mullet Championship in the Kids Division.

Living up to the almighty mullet nickname, Neil’s hair is ready for a day in the office in the front and ready to let off steam in the playground in the back.

Neil’s mom, Brooklyn Archuleta, told KOAT that Neil has had his legendary mullet since his first birthday when he got his first haircut.

Archuleta said her sister-in-law heard about the mullet contest on Facebook, and when they found out about the children’s section, they decided to join Neil.

“He had such nice, nice hair and we saw her and we thought, ‘Wow, he’s cute and you know he has great hair,’ so we thought we’d just try,” Archuleta said.

When Neil isn’t taking care of his soon-to-be-award-winning locks, Neil tells KOAT that he likes tractors, fire trucks, and cars.

Voting starts on October 5th and ends on October 7th. Neil fans can vote on the USA Mullet Championship, and Archuleta said any registered email address can vote once a day.
