Our New Years winter storm scattered some snow in the Sacramento Mountains of New Mexico and even dusted the peaks of the beautiful Organ Mountains in Las Cruces, as seen in the picture by Penny Duncklee (below). SUNDAY NIGHT: The sky is clear and the wind is calm. After a cool day, a very, very cold night awaits us with a low of 19 at the airport and 16 down in the valley. The variable winds range from calm to 10 miles per hour.
FORECAST: After a very cold morning, a nice little warming trend will begin on Monday. With a high of 55, enjoy sunshine and light, changeable winds. Tuesday will be sunny with warmer, moderate winds in the afternoon. Wednesday is mostly sunny, windy and 65. Thursday is sunny and sometimes a bit windy with a maximum of 66. Friday will be sunny and warmer with a maximum of 68. The winds will be warmer and windy from the SW. On Saturday, partly to mostly cloudy skies with stronger winds can be expected. Peak on Saturday: 62. Clouds and showers gather on Sunday with a cold front. High on Sunday: 55. Monday is partly to mostly cloudy with a high of 56.
